About the design

This slogan is not about claiming that white people are superior or that anyone else matters less. It is meant as a statement that people should be able to feel pride in their European roots, heritage, history, and culture without that pride automatically being interpreted as hatred toward others. The design pushes back against what it sees as a double standard: pride in many other ethnic or cultural identities is often celebrated, while pride in being white or native European can sometimes be treated with suspicion.

“White Lives Matter” is therefore intended as a loud reminder that every life matters — and white lives do too. It celebrates European identity and the enormous diversity found across European peoples and cultures, while making clear that pride in your own background does not require disrespecting anyone else’s.
